SIMULATION OF THE TRAJECTORY OF AN ELECTRIC WHEELCHAIR CONTROLLED THROUGH PROGRAMMABLE LOGIC CONTROLLER AND HMI

This paper presents a software module made by means of programmable logic controller and an HMI (Human Machine Interface), designed to control the movement electric wheelchair. By developing this module, major advantage is offered people with disabilities, who have difficulties. implementing command on wheelchair, can move independently using machine that be controlled from touch screen. In direction, user has possibility choose following directions car: forward-backward left-right, as well impose speed movement. The program was created ladder diagram language, interface provided through HMI.
